    So far, I have enjoyed using twitter. I have a personal account for twitter, so using it for an educational use was a bit different. I definitely see the advantages, because you can easily connect with very educated people and find out lots of new helpful information that you may not have found out if you haven't had a Twitter.  I have learned way more about education than I expected to. The graduation rates and how using technology in the classroom can benefit students really surprised me. I have not yet experienced any issues with Twitter, but I think this is mainly because I was already familiar with the app and had a lot of experience.
    I am not very far into my website so far, but I have learned how to use some of the functions on weebly. This is my first time I have tried to make a web page and I am enjoying it. I like how when you want to add something into your web page you can drag each item onto the page and it makes it very easy and simple to edit the items. Next time I try to make a website I think it will go much quicker since I will have some experience on how to use weebly and all the things that go along with it. I think this assignment is very useful for me in my future career and also it can be useful in careers other than teaching. It is useful because as a teacher you will most likely be required to have. a class website for your students and their parents. You may also just want to make a website even if it isn't required.     I have learned many useful tips from working with Diigo. Being able to start a discussion on Diigo is very useful because you can see all your fellow classmates thoughts and new ideas and you can refer back to them. This would also be very useful for when I am a teacher because I can them discuss topics with my colleagues or team members to get new insight. Also, being able to annotate articles is very useful for both in the classroom and for individual use. This is one of my favorite new skills that I had learned because it is a great tool. In the classroom, I could have students collaborate with each other on topics I assign during the class and they can go home and further expand on what we are talking about. Also, for my personal use, I can do assignments and look up articles to save and annotate for when I go back to them and then I can also view and comment on other peoples comments that they leave.

     I use technology very often and am usually very successful. I've been using technology since I was a child and it is now part of my everyday life. Being a college student I use my computer frequently to complete and upload assignments. Also, I use my phone daily to connect with my friends and coworkers. Technology so far has been very helpful in my daily life.      Being in this class, I hope to learn more about how to operate computers as well as how to use some of the applications available to me. Hopefully by the end of this course, I will be able to quickly and efficiently work my way around technology.  I also hope to be able to have the skills to help others with their technology problems if needed.

Adaptive Technology for Diverse Learners

What did you learn through your individual efforts? I learned about the opportunities and challenges that special needs students face. There are many challenges, like having to train the staff properly in order to help the student use new technology that is going to help them. Some very effective solutions to the challenges they face are National Council for Learning and TechMatrix. Also, an educators role is to make sure that all the students are receiving the same opportunities regardless of their disabilities.
